THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM BY-LAW NO. A By-law to regulate the operation of Discuotheques. The Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam in cpen meeting assembled, enacts as follows: l. In this By-law: (a) "Discotheque" shall mean a place for dancing open only to persons who are less than Nineteen (19) years of age; (b) "Statutory Holiday" shall not include Sunday. 2. (a) No person shall own or operate a Discotheque without a valid and subsisting licence for the carrying on of such business. (b) The Licence Inspector shall issue a licence for a Discotheque when he is satisfied that the applicant has complied with all requirements of all the By-laws of the City regulating building, zoning, health, sanitation and business, and of any statute affecting the operation of the said business, 3. The owner or operator of a Discotheque: ; (a) shall not admit to the premises any person not of the proper age fixed by this By-law for admission thereto; . (b) shall not have any alcoholic beverages upon the premises; (c) shall not permit any person te have alcoholic beverages in his possession on the premises; (@) shall not. permit the drinking of alcoholic beverages on the premises; (e) shall not permit drunkenness or disorderly conduct on the premises; (f) shall not permit any drunk or disorderly person to enter or remain on the premises; (g) shall not permit any person who leaves the Discotheque to re~enter the Niscotheque on the same day; (h) shall not permit any person less than thirteen (13) years of age nor more than eighteen (18) years of age to enter or remain on the premises; (1) shall not permit the sound level as measured on the "A" Seale, which is to say the "A" weighted network, and slow response of a Sound Level Meter to exceed decibels or such lower level as is required to prevent the sound penetrating the walls of the building in which the Discotheque is housed, 4. - (a) The owner or operator of a Discotheque may have the Discotheque open for business only during the hours hereinafter specified: (1) from 6:00 o'clock in the afternoon to 10:00 o'clock in the afternoon on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays; provided, that when any such day precedes a statutory holiday or a day when public schools are not in eession, the time of 10:00 o'clock in the afternoon is extended to 12:00 o'clock in-the afternoon;
