Splash into more gegRe aquatics at the AS 4 Terrace Gallery Report Show by Manzanita Snow TERRACE — The ex- hibition of work by: Manzanita Snow in the Terrace Art Gallery truly consists of two parts. Half is an exhibit of her work in the field of batik, half an indication of her journey into other media. by Andrea Deakin The batik are noteable for their delicacy of line and color. ‘‘Mexican Vine’’ trails in soft peach, blue-greens and white, using space to create form and tone. “Sea Cave’’ spins and twirls in soft blues, pinks and white, leading the eye inward. ‘The Goddess’’, glowing in soft rich earth tones, points up Ms. Snow’s fascination with the feminine — as in mother, fertility, earth goddess — and in earth forms as a whole. Her landscapes are earth founded, looking from the earth outward and upward. Her exploration of other media show this same influence, strong in the large rapid figure sketches. There is also a keen interest in texture and light, visible in the photography and in the large painting of the dancer. Terrace pool TERRACE — Tired of the same old parties?
