Originaire du Burundi, Willy Kabayabaya vient tenter sa
chance en Amérique du Nord a la fin de l'année 2012. II pose
dabord ses valises a New York. aux Etats-Unis, ott il suit une
formation a lISPA (Intemational Support For Performing Arts).

On Thursday February 20th and Fnday February 21st. 2014,
Le Centre will bring back its major winter cultural event. the 6th
Juste pournre de Vancouver (Just for Laughs) event. which will
presenta line-up of some of the best comedy artists performing
in French. Fora start. Le Centre is joining forces with the Con-
seil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique to bring
back Boucar Diouf to the Vancouver audience on the Ecole
Jules-Vee auditorium stage on Thursday. February 20. with
a benefit show to raise funds for the Yakaar project. This project
enables a group of 15 to 20 students. enrolled in the «Global
Perspectives» program offered by the CSF to cary out a hu-
manitanan aid project every second year in the Mbour region in
Senegal. In the Woloflanguage. spoken in this part of Senegal.
Yakaar means «hope». This was enough to convince him to
retum to us in 2014. Also, once again. the 6th Juste pour nire de
Vancouver event 2014 will join forces with the Rendez-vous de
la francophonie to present a major gala evening. featuring sev-
en artists. from very different backgrounds, that will take place
on Friday. February 21st. at the Centennial Theater in North-
Vancouver. This sixth edition of the Juste pour rire de Vancou-
ver event will once again be a partner in the celebrations of the
francophone community of Brtish Columbia for Black History
Month.
