SUBJECT: 30 KM/H SPEED ZONE - VICTORIA DRIVE
ADIACENT TO VICTORIA PARK

That Council direct the City Clerk to amend the City Traffic Control Bylaw #1117 to include a
30 km/h Playground Zone on Victoria Drive from Apel Drive to 1252 Victoria Drive. |

A portion of Victoria Drive from Apel Drive to 1252 Victoria Drive is adjacent to Victoria Park.

As shown on the attached May 10, 1994 memorandum from the Project Technician, presently
there are two playground signs with 30 km/h tabs; one on south east comer of Apel for east
bound traffic and one near 1252 Victoria Drive for west bound traffic. Although this signage is

adequate for the 30 km/h zone, it is noted that this portion of Victoria Drive is not listed in the

City Traffic Control Bylaw #1117 as a 30 km/h Playground Zone.

It is therefore recommended that Council amend the City Traffic Control Bylaw #1117 to
include the 30 km/h speed zone on Victoria Drive from Apel to 1252 Victoria.
