Proposed "No Parking - Anytime" Parking Restrictions
West Side of Shaughnessy Street from Atkins to 40 M North
(Public Works/Traffic Committee Meeting of January 18, 1994)

RECOMMENDATION:

That Council authorize the City Clerk to amend the City of Port Coquitlam Traffic Control
Bylaw #1117 to designate the west side of Shaughnessy from Atkins to 40 metres north as a "No
Parking - Anytime” zone.

BACKGROUND & COMMENTS:

There is a sight visibility problem at Atkins and Shaughnessy for east bound traffic on Atkins
tuming north onto Shaughnessy Street due to vehicles parked on the west side of Shaughnessy as
shown on the attached Plan 1. In order to improve the safety at this intersection, it is
recommended that parking be prohibited on the west side of Shaughnessy Street from Atkins to
40 metres North.
