The Inaugural Ceremonies ‘and Statutory Meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam were held in the Gymnasium of the Hyde Creek Recreation Centre, 1379 Laurier Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on December 7th, 1981 at 8:00 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer B. Kirk, City Clerk R.A.
