Amendments to Sign By-law

The Sign By-law, which was given two readings at the last meeting
of Council, has been amended according to Council's instructions.
Specifically, Item 10 (c) has been amended to provide for not more than

two roof top signs.

With respect to election signs, the Federal Elections Act has
specific provisions covering the posting of Election Signs and it would
appear that Council does not have authority to pass a By-law regulating
same... The Provincial Elections Act does not contain specific provisions
and it would appear that the provisions of our By-law would govern the
Placement of Provincial election signs.

The By-law is available for third reading at this time.
