FROM: Environmental Protection Committee.

The Environmental Protection Committee received a request through the
District of Coquitlam to appoint a City representative to the Red Cross
Homemakers' Service. This Service is operated in conjunction with the
Simon Fraser Health Unit and provides assistance in the home on a temporary
basis where the individual is unable te care for himself and requires

.Some nursing or, home care assistance. A City representative would sit

on the Board of Management of this Service and would bring to the attention
‘of the Board any local problems or needs of the residents.

The Committee has given this matter consideration and would recommend the
appointment of Mrs. Dorothy Marusiak, 1228 Ellis Drive, Port Coquitiam,
B.C. Mrs. Marusiak is willing to act on the Committee representing the

City.
