Borch, P. Eng., City Engineer ITEM 1 Re: North Side Fire Hall The Council resolution of June 16, 1975 (a copy of which ts attached hereto) was discussed, and the City Engineer pointed out that the implications of proceeding with the preparation of three sets of plans and specifications would be that the Engineering fees would approximately double, which would effectively remove any possible savings that might be enjoyed from a less expensive type of structure. After considerable discussion, the Committee decided to re-introduce this matter for the Council Meeting, Monday, June 30, 1975, with the recommendation that the Engineering Consultants be directed to prepare plans and specifications for the two-storey masonry fire hall building and that tenders be called. With reference to the clearing and grubbing, and excavation and backfill, this could stil? be looked after prior to the main part of the project. A copy of the estimated cost of the building, as well as copies of reports from the Mechanical and Electrical consultants are attached hereto for information. V.G. Borch, P. Eng., VGB/dv City Engineer. Attach. PORE Reet ya aerate
