Hi again everyone, hope all your past
days have been good ones and that today
will be even better vet.

This week’s column will be a little on the
short side, due to finally having reached
that stage where once again | am running
out of words (for today anyhow}. Many
thanks goes cut to Super Cookle, Fifi and
Geronimo, who have been cluing me In toa |
number -of happenings these past few
weeks. Without thelr help we probably
would have been left with nothing more than
our heading and a big 10-7....remember
folks, this is YOUR column so how about
parting with some of that info that you are
storing away so that we may pass it on to
the rest of the gang? If you can’t reach me

For those of you not In the know and who
have been wondering. why you haven't
heard a certain charming voice over the
two-way lately, It’s because the one crazy
legs has made like the birds and moved
down south to make his home. This is ane
falta that a lat of people are going to miss,
both in Kitimat and Terrace, and we all
wish the very best for you and your family,
In the future, Ron, and we also hope to be
able to catch you an the old airwaves when
conditions permit one day. Meantime a big
howdy to you and yours, from allt your
buddies on this end and fake special care.

Another true C.B.’er to jeave our fair
town and make his home in P.G. is Da
Bookle...best wishes go with you too, John,
and don't forget to look us up when you
return for a visit to the good country,
meantime give all the turkeys down at that
end a big Gobble, Gobble for us.

remember to NOT disturb Geronimo with
any L.L.‘s while he’s engaged in watching
Dumbo on TV, as the saying goes, no mater
what, the show must go on. Right Ron??

Now on the more serious side, earlier last
week, members of the G.R.S.-B.B.C., Super
Cookie, Mai Tai and Toolie were on hand at
the Jack Cook School to present them witha
check for $1200 to use to purchase much
needed equipment for the kiddies there, The
check represented the proceeds from the
last B.B.C. Valentines Dance...to all the
workers and the people who attended this
dance, we thank you for yaur part in helping
to contribute, so that we may, in turn,-help
others In our towns where help is needed. As
you all know, all proceeds from any function
that the G.R.S.-B.B.C, put on are then
donated to various local organizations in
ovr community and in the future we hope to
be able to contribute a lot more. .

Speaking of C.B. Clubs, the Tomahawk
Tribe, is another club that aids the com-
munity by donating “heir proceeds or
buying equipment for the hospital and other
organizations so don’t forget that their big
dance is coming up shortly on October 7 and
plan totake it in. Tickets are available from
the members and | have some at my work

Welcome back to town goes to an old time
C.B.’er, the one Spook, who moved back
here from Garlic City. He found out the
grass is greener right here. (Well, it could

Speaking with’ Don Morehouse (Can-
dyman) the other day, we find out that there
is going to be an Amateur Ham Radio

- course offered for those that are interested

in it. Registration is on the. 23rd at the
Terrace Arena Banquet Room between 12
noon and 7 p.m. Further information can be
acquired by looking it up in the booklet that
the S.D. 88 has out now. —

Davis still getting
his federal pension

VANCOUVER (CP) — The
Sun says furmer federal and
provincial cabinet minister
Jack Davis is getting abou
$18,225 a year from his
federal MP pension which
will increase with the cost of
living. ;

Davis, 62, was convicted
Sep. 1 of defrauding the
provincial guvern ment of
$1,074 in travel expenses. He
was fined $1,000 and placed
on probatiun for two months.

During Davis's county
court trial, his lawyer said
Davis would only havea
smalt pension to live ur if he
was deprived uf the G4.)

MLA and cabinet minister.
