Association, requesting that they be given a subsidized rate for rental - Rec Centre. of the new arena floor for their dance on May 12th, 1979 as they had been quoted $140.50 and due to the fact that they would be responsible for set up and removal of the tables and chairs they felt they should have a subsidized rate. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That Mr. Niel Goff, Secretary-Treasurer of the PoCo Saints Lacrosse Association be advised that the rate of $140.50 quoted to him for rental of the new arena floor for their dance on May 12th, 1979 is a subsidized rate given to groups in the community; AND THAT Council's policy due to the maintenance cut backs at the Recreation facilities requires groups to carry out the setting up and removal of tables and chairs. From the City Administrator, March 30th, 1979 advising that a new sign City Admin., by-law has been prepared and now incorporates conversion to metric and Mar. 30/79 re: New Sign B/L.: some changes regarding provisions for freestanding signs, and that it is i now ready to proceed, Alderman Wright introduced a by-law to provide regulations regarding signs.
