Dear Sir:

At the last meeting of the Board of this District the question of
increasing the levy for the Park Function from .35 mills to. 5 mills was
discussed. I understand that Alderman H. Ranicin will be bringing this
matter before the Board at our next meeting (March 28) providing the
Council of the City of Vancouver is in agreement with this ides. If
this happens, the Board will be asked to decide whether the Park mill
rate should be .35 or .5 for 1973. The Provisional Budget passed in
December 1972 was based on «35 mills.

I am bringing this matter to your attention in order that you may have

the opportunity of discussing it with your Cowmcil before our next meeting.

You will find attached a schedule showing an estimate of the amounts
which would be raised by a levy of .35 mills and -5 mills respectively in
1973.
