The six Shames racers, Ryan Monsees, Ben Pe- ters, Aaron Gingles, Mi- chael Butler, Leah Leclerc and Stacey Blake slid into victory at the Merrill Lynch Northern Zone Team Championships in Smithers. Monsees, Leclerc, Pe- ters and Blake dominated the second Super G race held on Friday, the Giant Slalom held on Saturday and the Giant Slalom held on Sunday, placing: three for three in all three races, Monsees won four me- dals overall, including a gold medal for most im- proved racer, Despite binding failure in first Super G on Friday and a disappointing ninth place finish, Leclerc came back in the next races to bag ane gold and one bronze in her division.
