VALUATION FORESTER

Reporting to the Forestry Superintendent, the successful
candidate will be responsible for the management of all
aspects of stumpage appraisal for the Houston Business
Unit. Specific responsibilities for this position will include:
providing expert advice to operations staff on all matters
pertaining to stumpage appraisals and stumpage policy,
acting as a key resource person involved in the management
of timber crulsing, administering the submission of the
annual interior logging cost survey; initiating and taking a
lead vole in formal appeals of stumpage rates on behalf of
the company and ensuring consistency of all appraisal
submissions from the Business Unit,

The successful candidate will havea minimum of 5 years
experience in the forest industry with a strong
understanding of forest management practices and forest
policy, specifi ically stumpage appraisal policy. Current
membership in, or eligibility for registration with, the
ABCPF jis required. In addition, you possess superior
time management and communication skills and some
computer experience.

resource centre model. The model must reflect and

munity. This project is funded by Human
Resources Development Centre.

ment and develop a proposal which would incorpo-
rate a holistic approach to a community youth
