RECOMMENDATION:

1. That the City further participate in the Pitch-In B.C. Campaign by placing
additional newspaper advertising and picking up and disposing of collected
material.

That a maximum $5000.00 budget be approved for this event with the funds being
allocatec som the Recycling Promotional Reserve Account.

BACKGROUN> AND COMMENTS:

The Envirenmenta. Protection Committee considered the attached memo dated February 25,

1993 from the Proiect Technician regarding Pitch-In Week. Following discussion it was
recommended thai ine City participate in this event and that a maximum of $5000.00 be
allocated from the Recycling Promotional Reserve Account to undertake this work.
