Defeated. Alderman Traboulay voted in favour of the resolution. Alderman Traboulay noted, in speaking to his motion, that the terms of reference of the Commission were to set boundaries on the basis of community interest an! he felt that this area had little in common with, for instance, Pitt Meadows or the Dewdney-Alouette Districts as they were primarily a rural community area and for the past several years we have operated within the bounds and in conjunction with that area designated as School District #43. Alderman Thompson expressed opposition on the basis that the School District had been used as the base of discussions on the proposed amalgamation of the three municipalities as they had, at one time, been together politically and if we were to go together again Federally, it would help further the cause of amalgamation and that subject is a long way from being decided.
