folklorique-progressive. Ils ont fait taper du pied les quatre coins des provinces maritimes
et enchanté les foules au Québec, en Ontario et en Europe ou ils ont notamment joué au
festival Les Déferlantes francophones. TRANS AKADI a signé en octobre 98 son premier
album La Langue des rebelles, qui est un heureux mélange de violon et de guitare élec-

trique appuyé d’une voix féminine cristalline et émouvante.

ante la notion traditionnelle du spectacle en Acadie. Le violoniste Daniel Leblanc, l’épine
dorsale du groupe, est un artiste émérite qui a remporté le prix de grande distinction du
Guitar Institute of Technology de Californie ow il a étudié. Flanqué de ses musiciens et de
danseuses de gigue, il est 1a pour scander deux choses: certes, il y a eu déportation en
1755, mais les Acadiens sont toujours 1a. Bien vivants. Comme leur musique en témoigne.
Entremélant théatre, chant, musique et danse, LE GRAND DERANGEMENT nous présente un
folklore revisité ou l Acadie cétoie la Louisiane et l’Irlande.
