In addition, it provides an excellent opportunity for the City of Port Coquitlam to
demonstrate and reinforce the notion to these young adults that we are here for
them.

If we support the request to waive the rental fees, it is estimated that we will be
losing the potential for revenues which have been estimated at approximately
$950.00. On the other hand, the times that have been requested, are times that the
facility would not normally be rented out or programmed (except for the Mabbert
Room).

In conversation with the organizer, they have indicated that they would make every
effort to keep the facility and grounds clean. Therefore, our scheduled graveyard
shift should be adequate for the event. However, should we be required to cali in
additional staff to clean-up; provide security or should we incur any damage, I
would suggest that these costs be pessed on to the event coordinators.

At this point in time, we have tentatively booked the facility for this event. We also
plan to limit access to some parts of the building where we have problems with

security or where we risk damage to equipment. |
