BACKGROUND: The Beedie Group is currently constructing Phase 2 of an industrial park adjacent to the Mary Hill Bypass east of Coast Meridian. As part of the development all underground services are required ie: water, Sanitary, storm etc. Included in the water installation is a Pressure Reducing station on Kingsway east of the Bypass (see attached sketch). The consultant for the Beedie Group (Hunter Laird) asked that the City reimburse the developer for the cost of the Station as it will be part of the City's water supply system. As the DCC's have been paid for this project by a previous developer, the PRV station should be 100% recoverable from the DCC water fund. (see Figure 1 and 2) . *The City should only pay the lowest acceptable tender for the PRV station as noted on the Tentative Approval Checklist. The City Treasurer has informed the writer that there is sufficient funds in the Water DCC account to pay for this work, attach Led pe — tHe De Boer Project/Traffic Technician
