BACKGROUND:

The proposed development fs a Senior Citizen Apartment
Building to be constructed under the provincial government's
social housing programme. This proposal was presented to City
Counci | early in 1986, when i+ received approval jn principle,
but was later withdrawn. The applicant's resubmitted the same
Proposal to the provincial government for the 1987 competition
and have received approval.

As noted above in the background the building proposed, ig

is recommended. Likewise, It Is also recommended that approval
