SUBJECT: Wheelchair Letdown = N/W corner Lougheed Hwy & Shaughnessy ~
Works and Services Committee, January 15, 1985

RECOMMENDATION:

That the Clty Install a wheelchair jatdown at the northwest
corner af the Intersection of Shaughnessy Street and the Lougheed
Highway at a cost of $250.00 to be taken out of Unallocated Funds for
1985,

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS :

We have a crosswalk on the wast Side of Shaughnessy Street
across the Lougheed Highway with wheelchair letdowns at the southwest
corner but with no fetdewns on the Island or on tha sidawalk at the
northwest corner. Wa hava approached the Department of Highways te
Sea whether they would Install the letdowns on thelr tsiand, They
have agreed to pay for the cost of The werk on the Island If we do tha
Job but It would be our responsiblilty to pay for the sidewalk

letdown.
