Planning and Zoning Committee for a recommendation on the request of Donaghy Developments concerning use of the building. A copy of the letter of Donaghy Developments is attached. The Committee concluded that manufacturing is an industrial use and therefore is not allowed in CS-1 zones. As to the rebuilding of diesel engines, the business is normally associated with large commercial trucks, and is therefore considered as an industrial use. Furthermore, this business is not an integral part of a business of retail sale or rental of cars and trucks or retajl sale of parts and accessories as set out in subsection (1) (g)+in CS-1 zone of the Zoning By-law. This subsection reads as follows: "Retail sale, rental and related repair cf automobiles, light trucks, trailers, mobile homes, boats and farm machinery, including related parts and accessories.” ot The Committee therefore recommends t:at the request of Donaghy Developments be disapproved: LL/vw Attached.
