Nov. 18/ 77 ve Bantam Tournament Leisure Act. Comm. Nov. 18/77 re Sr. Fac. Cit. Extension. November 21st, 1977. A short discussion ensued prior to passage of the foregoing resolution. From the Leisure Activities Committee, November 18th, 1977 recommending Championships to be held on March 10th and lith, 1978. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Leisure Activities Committee November 18th, 1977 the City waive the ice rental charges for the 1978 B.C. Provincial Ringette Championships to be held on March 10th and llth, 1978. Carried. Prior tc passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Rang 2r explained Ringette were accepted in their bid for the Provincial Tournament March 10th and llth, 1977. Alderman Traboulay asked what the cost of the tournament would be to the City and Recreation Director Janna Taylor advised it would cost in the neighbourhood of $500.00 From the Leisure Activities Committee, November 18th, 1977 recommending that the Minor Hockey Association be permitted to host the Bantam Tournament en on March 27th to April 1st, 1978 and that the ice rental charges be eee waived for half of the ice time used and that concessions be handled in the same manner as last year, this being the Recreation Department selling coffee, hot chocolate and all cold drinks, and Minor Hockey selling the food. Moved by Alderman Rafiger: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Leisure Activities Committee November 18th, 1977 the Minor Hockey Association be permitted to host the Bantam Tournament on March 27th, to April lst, 1978 and that ice rental charges be waived for half of the ice time used. From the Leisure Activities Committee November 18th, 1977 recommending that the City Council endorse the plan as presented by the Leisure Activities Committee for the extension of the Senior Citizens facility.
