Alderman Keryluk voted against the resolution.

Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution, Alderman Keryluk +
suggested that the people who are inconvenienced would probably do well |
to voice their indignation to the appropriate authorities, but that he
did mot think the Council should take any leadership role at ail in this
instance, in keeping with the view expressed by some Aldermen at the time
he had presented his motion on tncreased I.C.B.C. rates earlier this evening.

Acting-Mayor Aiderman Laking advised he had received severs1 complaints

from residents in the Oxford Heights area with respect to where burning

is continually ongeing at the "Oxbow Ranch" property in the District of property
Coquitlam, and ithe following motion was proposed: |

That the problem of continuous burning at the "Oxbow Ranch" property
be brought to the attention of that municipality with the request that
steps be taken to reduce this operation as much as possible in view of
the discomfort it is causing to people living in the Oxford Heights area
of the City. Carried.
