Expect everything from bluegrass to Celtic and gospel music there. Fiddlers, banjo players and rockers all set for Fair IF LIVE music is what you’re seeking, the Skeena Valley Fall Fair entertainment line-up is sure to deliver, “We think there’s a good mixture of music there this year,”’ said coordinator Patricia St. Thomas. ‘People will get to hear their old favorites and new bands too.” Starling at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 4 will be a Bluegrass/Country/Celtic/ Gospel contest. Contestants can join either the Junior Division for musicians aged 17.and under or the Senior Division for those aged 18 and over, Divisions are: Junior fiddle (ages 0-17), senior fiddle (ages 18-100), junior mandolin,” senior mandolin, junior guitar, senior guitar, junior banjo and senior banjo. Cash prizes will be awarded to the first place in each category, and trophies to all runner ups. The entry for individuals is $5 and $10 for each band category. To enter in the contest contact Patricia St, Thomas at 635-7779 or Erle Crawlord at 635-9037. No dance is scheduled for Saturday night this year. The music will end at 8 p.m. _On Sunday, September 5 musicians will be playing all day until 5 p.m. when the fair closes. First in the line-up is Jamie Laird and CORE, a gospel group. Other local talent in- cludes teenager Theresa Fenger, Snow Babies (rock), Fair Warning (rock) and Bor- ‘derline (country).
