So this column will be devoted to those birthdays, and catching up on litle tidbits of information. There were children out playing al the time, but eventually the moosc headed back up towards the Terrace Mt. area. kk kk And speaking of spring, the Terrace Beautification Society will be holding 4 perennial sale on Saturday, May 11 at the Safeway parking lot. So if you are going to be splitting up some plants, please keep us in mind. All the money raised will go towards the Memorial Garden up at the old cemetery. You can phone ei- ther Judy at 638-1237 or Allison at 638-0063 if you have any plants you wish to donate, Flower donations needed ON MAY IL the Terrace Beautifica- tion Society will bold a perennial flower sale from 9 am to 1 pm at the Safeway parking lol. The proceeds from the sale will go to the beautification and development of the proposed Memorial Gardens !o- cated next to the old cemetery. As spring approaches it’s time to clean out old beds and remove over- crowded plants, With this in mind we would Jike those plants which you would normally split up, to be put in small pols, and labelled. We will col- lect them for our perennial flower sale no matter how small the plants are. The sale of the plants not only will go toa good cause, but wiil allow avid gardeners and would be gardeners to grow different planis and start new gardens, Some example of perennial are pop- pies, daisies, iris, hosta, primroses, jacobs ladder, yarrow, bleeding hearts, pholx, hollycocks, lily of the valley, - etc which come up each year, We also -. would like herb, strawberry plants and raspberry canes, as well as bulbs. We would appreciate all donations to make this Perennial Flower Sale a great success and possibly an annual event, Please call Judy or Howard at 638-1237 or Alison at 638-0063 stat- ing name, phone and address so that ‘we can arrange an appropriate time to pick up the plants.
