been approached different times
by various French speaking Catho-
lics-about the possibility of getting
French services from time to me

bilingual. However, the word
“French” alone seems to be a very
irritating. one,
It seems that French Canadians
who wish to keep their language
and culture should stay in Quebec.

Two per cent or 30 per cont

ure up to the same consideration.

TUESDAY AFTERNOON marked the second day of Safety
-week in the Summer Playground program, Youngsters were

invited to participate in a bicycle rodeo held at, the Com-
munity. Centre grounds, A check was run through for
mechanical defects and then riders were put to an operat-
ing test which included plank riding and safom ‘as well as”
signalling. In this photograph, Chris Roper, 10 years old,

. tucks his tongue into his cheek as’he sets out on the first

leg of the testing ¢ course, ‘ver 150 youngsters, took part in
the ¢ event.
