Brown Director of Planning RE: Encroachment Agreement 2811 ~- 2897 Shaughnessy Street RECOMMENDATION: That Council authorize the Mayor and City Clerk to endorse an encroachment agreement tor Lot B, NWLD Plan 11665, and Block B and Lot D, Block P, NWLD Plan 17666 of D.L. 379 and 464 Group 1 New Westminster Land District permitting canopies to extend over the lane. COMMENTS: Approval of this request for an encroachment agreement jis recommended. The rational for supporting this request is that it will not affect accessability of public utility vehicles in the lane, while it will improve appearance of the building from Lions Park. The proposed canopies will be located approximately 8.5 meters (28 feet) above the lane. Given this height it is _ 7 unlikely they will conflict with any equipment that may have to work jin the lane. Value of the canopies jis their breaking up a long facade of the building facing Lions Park. Director of Community Planning
