February 15, 1983: Resolved to adopt the peace appeal £rom Ziroshima and Nagasaki, “to promote solidarit cities towards abolition of nuclear weapona*. ¥ 0f Pabruary 22, 1983: Initiated a motion arging the Canadian government (through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities) to Geciare Canada @ nuclear weapons free sone. ‘March 15, 1983: Distributed a pamphlet to every Vancouver household on the dangers of nuclear war and urged participation in the 80,000 strong April 23, 1984 Walk for Peace.
