A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of

the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam

City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on March 24th,
1980 at 7:30 p.m.

His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk,
Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance.
Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock,
Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Assistant
Engineer L. Melnechenko, P. Eng., City Planner L. Lee, Fire Chief
W.S. Wingrove, City Treasurer J.G.S. Maitland, Recreation Director K.J.
Taylor, Works & Utilities Superintendent G.W. Ulmer and Mrs. D.i.. Vyse.

CORRESPONDENCE:

From Dr. F.J. Blatherwick, Director of the Simon Fraser Health

Unit, March 18th, 1980 regarding the proposed Eagle Ridge Hospital.

Alderman Traboulay suggested Alderman Gates set up a meeting with

Council and the Board of Health to discuss the proposed Eagle Ridge

Hospital and its requirements. Alderman Mabbett stated he attended the

meeting on March 20th, 1980 regarding the Eagle Ridge Hospital and it

was brought up that the Director of the Simon Fraser Health Unit, Dr.

F.J. Blatherwick had no reason to get involved in the Eagle Ridge Hospital
and Alderman Ranger concurred adding especially as Dr. Blatherwick is a
member of Staff. Alderman Keryluk stated the boundaries for the hospital

are not the same as the School District and does include New Westminster
