July 24th, 1979 A Special Meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall on July 24th, 1979 at 4:30 p.m. Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, P.F. Ranger, L.M. (7) Traboulay, and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance was Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock. The Special Meeting of Council was called to consider the Memorandum Ratification of Memorandum of of Agreement setting out the proposed terms of settlement between the Agreement for 1979/80 - CUPE Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 498, and the City of Port Local 498/City of Port Coquitlam! Coquitlam for a collective agreement covering the years 1979 and 1980. The City Administrator circulated a memo and a copy of the Memorandum of. Agreement which covered a two-year agreement. There was some discussion regarding the Memorandum of Agreement and also a discussiva in connection with the City's relationship to the GVRD Labour Relations function, Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That. the Memorandum of Agreement between the City aud the Canadian Union of Public Employees, Local 498, dated the Nineteenth of July, 1979, be ratified; AND THAT His Worship the Mayor and the City Clerk be authorized to execute the necessary Contract therefor and affix the Corporate Seal ‘thereto.
