Alderman Ranger advised the type of business could be regulated, particularly in the M~3 zone, as well as C-1, C-2, and C~3 zone businesses could be restricted from operating in M-3 zones. Discussion then ensued. Alderman Traboulay introduced a by-law to amend the City Coquitlam Building By-law No. 1298. From the Leisure Activities Committee, October 18th, 1978 advising that the "Park Dedication By-law, 1978, No. 1629" has ag:in been considered by the Committee and. in view of the uncertainty that arises respecting the imposition of the Development Cost Charges for the. provision of open space pursuant to the recent amendments to the Municipal Act, the Committee recommends that the By-law be left in abeyance and that the City Clerk be instructed not to proceed with the further process of By-law No. 1629 at this time. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by the Leisure Activities Committee, October 18th, 1978 "Park Dedication By-law, 1978, No. 1629" be left in abeyance; AND THAT the City Clerk be insicucted not to further process of By-law No. 1629 at this time.
