whether Alderman Ranger had noticed that approximately half-way between

the Cape Horn Interchange and the Colony Farm road, fill is being

placed from the Highway wedian right out over the C.P.R. tracks, apparently
as an alternate truck route, and Alderman Ranger replied that he had,

and that he felt trucks being allowed to turn at this point should be

protested, particularly in view of the fact that a short distance further

East there is a signalized intersection with a paved access road South
of the Highway from which a truck route could easily be constructed West

to the Mayfair Industrial site. The Assistant City Engineer stated that he

would obtain further information on the subject.

Alderman Ranger referred to correspondence received from several Ald. Ranger

is adversely affecting business, and Alderman Mabbett drew attention to
the fact that since that time, the median has been cut in front of
Pulsar Holdings Ltd. - not in deference to its request, but to that from

the C.P.R. in order to provide access to the Highway from the Railway

Yards for its employees. Members of Council generally objected to the
Highways Department cutting an access through the median without consulting
the City first, and Mayor Campbell stated he wouid pursue the matter

with the appropriate officials.
Alderman Mabbett advised he had been contacted by the new owner of Ald.Mabbett
