From the City Administrator, January 13th, 1977, referring to the fact that the City has been using the services of Hugh & McKinnon as its insurance brokers, and advising that that firm is well underway in putting together the 1977 requirements for the City. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended in a memorandum from the City Administrator, January 13th, 1977, the appointment of Hugh & McKinnon as the City's Insurance Broker for the year 1977, be reconfirmed. From the City Clerk, January 12th, 1977, advising that the resolutions passed by Council upon the resignation of the City's former Treasurer, Mr. Forcier and the appointment of his replacement, Mr. Maitland, have left the City without a formally appointed Deputy~Treasurer. NEW BUSINESS: The City Engineer referred to the discussion earlier this evening concerning the new garbage collection policy covering Statutory Holidays as proposed by the Public Works Committee, and he advised that as he had erred in stating that the rates for employees working on a Saturday would be less, rather than the same, as on a Friday, where the latter is a Statutory Holiday, pick-up would be made on Friday of the Easter weekend, being April 8th, 1977.
