Gentlemen:

The recent extension of bus lines throughout Coquitlam,
Port Moody and Port Coquitlam has resulted in requests for
Courtesy Bus Benches in the area.

Sunerior Sicns Ltd. throuch its subsiduary company, City
Bench Co., has been onerating bus benches in Vancouver, & Burnaby
for years. We would request consideration of this application to
extend this service into the City of Port Coquitlam under the same
conditions as are operated in Burnaby.

These condi-tions are as follows:

1. Total contract and control of the benches,locations,
maintenance and site selection be done with the engineering department
only.

2. The original sites selected hy Sunerior in Port Coquitlam
would be submitted to Port Cocuitlam Engineering for apnroval.

3. On aporoval Superior would erect Courtesy Bus Benches
with advertising snace on the 2' x 8' bench back only.

4. Maintenance and renairs would be the sole responsibility

of the bench owners (Surerior Signs Ltd) Repairs or replacements’

would be ordered by engineering either by letter or phone (usually
ohone),

5. Bach site selected and used would be assessed at $5.00
mer year by the City.

6. Sites initially would be mostly in commercial or
avartment areas. ,

7. “All.bus ston areas are not suitable for benches,so many
sites would not have benches but the City could request a bench
