A By-law to authorize the granting of a lease to Her Majesty the

‘Queen in the right of the Province of British Columbia as represented by

the Honourable the Minister of Public Works of certain real property.

WHEREAS Her Majesty the Queen in right of the Province of British
‘Columbia as repyesented by the Honourable the Minister of Public Works
. desires to occupy that portion of real property which is defined as
"LANDS" in Schedule "A" hereto;
AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam (the

beneficial owner of the LANDS in question) is empowered to lease the

LANDS by virtue of Section 477(1) of the Municipal Act, R.S.B.C. 1960 c.

255 and amendments thereto;

AND WHEREAS The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam is

prepared to lease the LANDS to Her Majesty the Queen in right of the
Province of British Columbia as represented by the Honourable the Minister
of Public Works on the terms, subject to the conditions and for the

period of time hereinafter provided for}

NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City

of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows:
1. The Municipal Council hereby leases unto Her Majesty the Queen ‘in
right of the Province of British. Columbja‘’as represented by the Honourable
the Minister of Public Works the LANDS for the period of time and on the
terms and aubject to the conditions set out in the following lease
hereunto attached and marked Schedule "A",

"2. The Mayor and City Clerk of The Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam are hereby ‘authorized to affix the Corporate Seal of the City
to the lease referred to in Section 1 hereof.
3. This By~law may, be cited for all purposes as the "Justice Building

Lease Authorization By-law, 1976, No. 1458".
