On Aug. ist a very pretty
wedding was solemnized be-
tween Evelyn Joanne, the
youngest daughter of Jim and
Louise Morton of Terrace,
and René, the only son of
Tony and Mia Jenster, of
Kitimat. —

Pastor Ron Orr of Zion-Bap- |
tist’ Church performed the
ceremony and Mrs. Donna Orr
was pianist.

Matron. of honour was one of
the bride’s sisters —- Mrs..

Darlene Keeping of Terrace, —

and best man was Paul Muck-
le, of Vernon, a long time
friend of the groom. The ring
bearer was Steven Morton. —

The guests were ushered to

their seats by the groom’s
nephews, Kevin and David
Sweet.

Amanda McLarty, the
bride’s niece, was in charge of
the guest book.

The bride was radiant in. an

ivory waltz-length gown of
lace and the groom looked

smart in a navy suit. The maid
of honour was attired in a tur-
quoise dress.

The bride’s mother wore an
aqua-pleated dress and the
groom’s mother was wearing a
rose-coloured dress. Both
ladies wore complimentary
corsages.

The reception and dance was
held in the Skeena room at the

Terrace Inn, which had been
tastefully decorated with blue
and white streamers, balloons,
bells, and a blue and white
flower centrepiece for the
head table,

About 100 guests were
seated, coming from as far
away as Holland, Winnipeg,
Nanaimo, Chilliwack — and
Vernon.

The M.C. for the. evening

was Ron Snider, uncle of the

bride. The bride’s bouquet was

caught by Valerie Duff and

David Sweet caught the garter.

The happy couple . are
making their home in Kitimat,
where the groom -is a long
time employee of Kal Tire.
