motion should have been recorded as. - those voting in favour; also, on Page 7, the words

‘and Thursdays" should be inserted between ‘the vords "Tuesdays" and nas" -where they

appear on the ninth line from the twp thereof, and to these changes the Council | agreed.

with a copy of a letter Gt explanation sent to in frou the Gity Administrator dated
July 3rd, 1973.

Mr. Dorfman was in attendance at the -Reeting and on invitation of His Worship
the Mayor , spoke to his letter mentioned above, pointing out that his business Lice
ence increased from $78. 70 to 3229, 33, or 1922. _ Alderman Ranger pointed | out that
the last increase in business licence rates was in 1266. and that the new charges
are now in line with the District. of Coquitian and City” of Port. Moody. Mr. Dorfman
inquired what businessnen have received _for, ‘this a money and Alderman Ranger referred
to the level of services provided by the city over the years. Mr. Dorfman pointed
out that there | are approximately 30, 000 hone-owners in the District of Coquitlam as
compared with 6 6, 500 dn the City; therefore, that municipality could charge more

because it has more to offer. Mr. Dorfman algo. commented he feat businessmen were
