The Chair hopes paraders play by the THE RIVERBOAT Days parade will be hitting the streets this Saturday and organizers will be busy trying to outdo last year’s performanice. Last year’s parade, viewed from under a sea of umbrellas, garnerred 54 entries. As of last Friday, only 10 entrics had officially registered with the Royal Canadian Legion, which organizes the parade. : But Joyce Bradley, who has been the chair of the parade committee for the past seven years, says its not unusual for people to wait until the deadline to enter and is optimistic about the upcoming parade. The deadline for cntries was yesterday. Last year’s parade saw a varicty of floats, bands, vehicles aud other entries and Bradley says the. entries so far already include a number of participants, particularly businesses, new to the pa- rade.
