On behalf of the more than 30,000 affiliated members of the
New Westminster and District Labour Council and all other
workers in your City, I would strongly urge that your Council
Join with us in observing April 28th as an officical "day of
' . mourning" for the hundreds of workers killed at the workplace
; €ach year in Canada. In 1986 there were 32 workers killed in
the Forest Industry alone. | .

7 : We would ask that you lower the flag on your building to half
mast and allow your employees to observe one minute's silence
at the workplace at 11:00 a.m. on April 28th. |
