April 28th, 1980. ; Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended by the Land Sales Committee, April 25th, 1980 the portion of Donald Street between Elgin Avenue and Kingsway Avenue be closed up to traffic leaving provision for the continuation of the existing lane and that the City retain the northerly portion From Kingsway Avenue to the lane and that the southerly portion From the lane to Elgin Street be offered for sale to the adjacent owner at a cost of $9.00 per square foot for approximately 7,900 square feet; SUBJECT TO construction of the proposed comprehensive Medical Centre building; AND THAT the City Clerk be instructed to prepare the necessary by- law. Carried. Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Alderman Keryluk spoke against selling the road allowance until the proposed development is finalized.
