However, it is necessary | to do cutbacks immediately in order to reflect any reduction in the 1979 Provisional Budget. The two major areas which committee have discussed are Aquatics and the Concession. Attached, please find information in regard to money cutbacks and also attendance figures for the indoor and outdoor poois. The committee would like to make the following recommend- : ations for Council's consideration. 1. That the Concession be closed down on February 19th, 1979. 2. That the indoor pool oapveration be reduced in the following manner: a. Closed on Statutory Holidays. | b. Cancel Early Bird Swim . . ce. Cancel Evening Aquafit It should be noted, that we have already reduced the pool operations on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings. 3. That the Centennial Pool and Robert Hope Pool run on a 5 day operation j for 8 hours per day. That the two learner pools be reduced froma 6 hour operation to a 4 hour operation per day. That all outdoor pools be closed on Statutory Holidays with the only exception being that Centennial Pool will remain open on July ist, 1979, due to the Kinsmen Sport Festival.
