BACK FROM EUROPEAN TOUR

. Major and Mrs, Cc. A. Dadds: were
-among: those who travelled via ‘the
. Credit Union” flight to Britain “and
“returned last week to their home on
Ebor Terrace.

They. toured England, Belgium,
Germany, ‘Switzerland, Maly” -and
France. :

While in ‘England they attended a
memorial ‘service at Westminster
Abbey for. ‘Winston. “Churchill.

Here. they saw Queen Elizabeth
unveil a* plaque in. memory of the
great war-time leader. :

In 1917, Major. Dadds. saw Bethnal
Green, ‘an eastern suburb of London
as it. was at that time. During the
Second’ World V War it. was flattened
by bombs...

New buildings have now replaced
the old | and the extensive slums
have’ been eradicated:

Tew, days .at Winsford in Somerset,
the village - in’-which_ his father.once
