M ay DAY is the day when labor reviews its past achievements
and prepares for new struggles and new gains.

; Vancouver workers have celebrated May Day for almost
half a century—and the Pacific Tribune has marched with the
workers ever since its inception, thus carrying forward the fight-
ing tradition established by earlier socialist and labor papers.

This year the May Day parade will take place on Sunday,
April 29, and the marchers will proceed from Powell -Street
Grounds along Hastings to Exhibition Park, where a public rally
will be held.

You'll see the Pacific Tribune banner in the parade —
“The paper that fights for the people, with the people, for
Canada.” é

Right now our paper is appealing to its friends in the
labor movement for $20,000 to ensure publication for another
year. At this moment in history the Pacific Tribune is needed as
never before, in order to carry forward the fight for a better
Canada.
