RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, English and French are the official languages of Canada

and WHEREAS, many communities across Canada have deciared themselves to be
English only,

and WHEREAS, there are many French speaking communities in Canada but outside
of Quebec that either have Jaycee units are potential locations for Jaycee units:

and WHEREAS, the Canada Junior Chamber/Jaycees is actively pursuing amalgamauon
with the Quebec Junior Chamber,

THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED THAT:
The Canadian Junior chamber/Jaycees issue a press release endorsing the concept of
Canada as a bilingual counry.

AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT:
Individual Jaycee units write letters to their municipal governments endorsing

bilingualism in the community.
