Dear Mr. Chong,

We wish to convey to you complaints we have received concerning
access for persons in wheelchairs at the 2900 block of Coast Mer-
idian in Port Coquitlam.

The sidewalk ends at mid-block and, although a steel guard rail
is provided at the ending, no wheelchair ramp is present, as is
at the intersection to the north, thus making it impossible for

wheelchair users to get onto the road.

May we suggest that consideration be given to one of the follow-
ing changes (see sketch):

A. continue the sidewalk to the south (shown dotted)

B. install a wheelchair ramp (shown dotted) together with a
straightening of the asphalt curb, as this curb presently
constitues a hazard. me
