Council of The Corporation of the City of Fort Coquitiam was held tn the Counci| Chamber, Port Coquitiam City Hali on Monday, July 21st, 1986, at 7:30 poem. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen. M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also In attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng. and Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaw to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered: BL/01/86/07/07/01 Bytaw No. 2190: To amend the regulations of the RS-1 (Single Family Residential) zone so as to Increase the number of ambulatory guests permitted In a Personal Care Use from ten persons to twelve persons. Although this amendment will apply to all property itn the City presently zoned RS-1 (Single Family Residential) It Is expected that immediate advantage of the provision will be taken by the Barberry Lodge located at 1440 Barberry Drive, Port Coquitiam, B.C. The following people were present and expressed their views on the proposed rezoning. Darryl! Spielman, 2869 Rosewood Crescent, property owner, expressed concern regarding visitor parking and traffic In the area. Glenn Yamada, Operator of Barberry Lodge, 1440 Barberry Drive, agreed the traffic was a probiem in the area and will arrange for two more on site parking spaces for a total of six.
