observed that the charge for garbage removal has been increased from the
1976 rate of $24.00 to $30.00 for 1977. Alderman Ranger stated his
intention of voting against the By-law because he is opposed to the
principle of the rate being levied as a separate charge.

Alderman Laking introduced a By-law to authorize The Corporation of
the City of Port Coquitlam to dispose of a portion of Road dedicated on
Plans 2674 and 5726, Northwest Quarter and Northeast Quarter of Section
6, Township 40, New Westminster District in exchange for sufficient land

to re-locate the said road.

The City Clerk advised that prior to submission at a Public Hearing
scheduled to be held on May 2nd, 1977, By-law No. 1532, proposed to

amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law was now available for

initial consideration.
