Section 304 of the “City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By~layv, 1969, No. 918" t2 repealed and the following substituted therefor: "304 RE UIRED OFF-STREET PARKING SPACES When ary development takea place on any lot off~streer parking shall ba provided and maintained in ‘accordance with regulations contained in thie section, (i) Existing Buildin 8, Structures and Uses: The regulations contained in this section shal? not apply to buildings, structures Or uses existing on the effective date of this By-law, except that: (a) Off-street parking shall be Provided and maintained in accordance with this section for any addition to such existing building or structure, or any change or addition fo such existing use, (b) Off-street Parking existing on the effective date of this By-law shall not be reduced below the applicable off-street parking requirements of thie section, (2) Voluntar Establishment of Parking Factlicies: Where off-gtreet parking facilities ate Provided when not required, the location, design and operation of auch factlities shall comply with all the regulations of this section, (3) Units of Measurement: (a) Where Sross floor area is used as a unit of measurement for the calculation of required Parking spaces, it shall include the floor area of accessory buildings and basemente, except where they are usod for parking, heating or storage, (b) Where number of employeea is used as a@ unit of weasurenent, it shall mean the Sreatest number of persons at work or at school, at any time of the day or Bight in a particular building or for 4 Particular use during any season of the year, (c) Where seating accommodation is used a9 a@ unit of reasure- Rent, and such accommodation consists of berches, pews, Booths and the Tike, each 20 faches of width of such seating accommodation shall be counted as one seat, (8) When the calculation of parking requirements results in a fractional Parking apace, one Parking space shall be Provided to meet this fractional requirement, (4) Required Off-Street Parking § 8CeB? Off-atreet vehicular Parking cr garage Spaces shall be srovideg in accordance with the 8tandards in this section. In the case of a use not specifically mentioned, the raquired off~street Parking spacea shall be the same as for @ sinilar use: 1.) Single-family and two fanily dwellings, 1 for each dwelling unit, 2.) Multiple-family dwellings. 1.5 for each welling unir, 3.) Dwellings or dwelling units related to comercial or other premises, i for each dwelling unit. 4.) Boarding, lodging or rooming houses, fraternity or Sorority houses or other similar uses, 1 for each 2 sleeping units, 5.) Senior Citizens housing, 1 for each 3 dvelling units. 6.) Children's Institutions, cormitories 1 for each 3 employees, plus and rest hones, 1 for each 6 beds. 7.) Private hospitals, i for each 2 staff doctors, plus 1 for each 4 employees, plus 1 for cach § beds, 8.) Churches, 1 for each 100 Square feet of gross floor area used for asserbly withig @ church budiding or church hall. 9.) Schools, public or Private: {a} Kindergartens, Elementary and Junior High Schools. 1 for each stare menover, (>) Sentor High Schools, 1 for each ataft neaber, plus 1 for each 10 atudents, 10.)
