Sgt. That’s 11 percent of the students continued on page 22 tragedy takes three lives Sarah Bevan, a well-known and highly respected member of the Terrace community, her 16-year-old daughter Kelsey Cootes, and 45-year-old Norman Gill of Terrace, all died in a traffic accident near Vandeérhoof over the weekend. - c The Vanderhoof detachment of the RCMP reports that the three were killed as the result of a two-vehicle collision 26 kilometers-west of Vanderhoof on Highway 16. The occupants of the other vehicle, a pickup truck, sustained injuries and remain in hospital. The accident occurred March 4 at about 2:20 p.m. as the vehicle carrying Bevan, Cootes and Gill was eastbound and collided head- on with the truck. Police say road conditions and visibility were good at the time. The cause of the accident is under investigation, but RCMP have ruled out alcohol as a contributing factor.
